On Wednesday 13 August we played Cumberwell Golf Club. Rich Smith had a winning score of 33 and he also won the longest drive. Tony Smith had nearest the pin. Jeff Hargreves won the weekend in Paris and £500 spending money for 2 this month. We welcomed a new member in Andy Sugg landlord of the Prince of Orange.
Our trip to Spain in November is now fully booked. We are still hoping to arrange an overnight Cornish bash before the end of the autumn. If you want to come along let me know.
Don't forget to support Natalie Webb's Charity Golf Day on 8 September at Mendip Spring. We are looking for spongers, a £100 a hole. Or just enter a team. We raised over £13,000 last year in aid of the Weston Hospice where they took such good care of Natalie. See John Webb or me. Email wrington@setter-lee.com
Our next GLUGS golf day is on 10 September at Woodlake Park Usk. First tee is booked for 11am.
